Rio Ferdinand Identifies Where Manchester United Needs Improvement The Most

According to former Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand, the wingers are now the section of the club with the most space for improvement.

In a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the Premier League on Wednesday night, Erik ten Hag’s team continued to develop and dazzle.

Summer enlistments The central defense and the middle of the midfield, which were previously weak points, have seen significant improvement thanks to Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro, but Ferdinand thinks the wide positions now require the most improvement.

Ferdinand wants to see more from both Jadon Sancho and Antony in the upcoming weeks after they both began on the wings against Spurs, another summer signing.

Ferdinand commented on Vibe with Five that he believes there is more to come from United’s wingers when asked what he thought of them. The greatest room for improvement currently is in that area.

It’s ironic because, before the start of this season, center-back and center-midfield had the most opportunity for growth. However, upon closer inspection, he believes that the wide areas had the greatest growth potential.

Without the ball, we get back into shape and play solid defense, but when we have the ball, those players are the ones who open things up. You look for them to make plays against low blocks, overloads out wide, and other situations that call for a lot of magic.

Defenders then have to leave their warm positions because they’ve passed a man, which causes chaos. At the present, we are not receiving that.

There are hints in Antony, but Sancho will reveal more about that.

United has made a successful comeback from a poor start to the season; they are currently fifth in the table, just one point behind the top four, and are still very much in the mix to qualify for the Champions League.

Bruno Fernandes and Fred’s goals against Tottenham made the difference, and Ten Hag was happy with what he witnessed from his players at Old Trafford.
