Real Madrid is getting close to concluding the deal for Jude Bellingham.
Jude Bellingham is one step closer to joining Real Madrid, claims reputable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Los Blancos and Borussia Dortmund are nearing completion of their agreement. A deal worth €100 million plus add-ons is also likely to bring the English wonderkid to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite still being a few years away from his prime, Jude Bellingham has cemented his place among the world’s top midfielders. Since breaking out at Birmingham City FC nearly four years ago, the 19-year-old has been in high demand. And since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2020, he has advanced considerably.
The young English prodigy is now a key player for both his club and nation. And he has had a great 2022–23 season, scoring 14 goals and dishing out seven assists in 42 games so far. However, Bellingham’s long-term plans involve moving on from Dortmund to Real Madrid. And after winning the Bundesliga championship this weekend, he intends to depart.
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are probably going to stay at Real Madrid for another year. Despite the pair’s prolonged presence, Los Blancos will require a long-term replacement for them. Additionally, Bellingham has been a long-time target for Real Madrid. But before they completely destroyed Liverpool and Manchester City, they had to contend with them for several months.
Bellingham intends to move on to the Merengues, who are hoping to seal his contract with Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid# will get in touch with the German team to start the last round of negotiations. Additionally, a contract with a base fee of €100 million is almost finished.
But out of respect for the ongoing title race, Real Madrid won’t get in touch with Dortmund before the Bundesliga season. The contest with Bayern Munich has continued into the final day of the season. Additionally, Los Blancos hopes to seal the deal as early as the following week. Personal terms won’t be a problem for Real Madrid, however.
