Oh, how exciting! In two-legged matches that, in their dreams, will culminate in a championship game in Turkey next summer, 16 of the biggest and best teams in Europe are competing against one another. Sorry, Barça, Leticia, Arsenal, and United fans, maybe next year.
On Monday, November 7, 2022, the draw for the Champions League’s round of 16 will take place at Nyon, Switzerland’s House of European Football. 12 o’clock noon local time is when it begins (CET).
It’s important to keep in mind that group winners (indicated by an asterisk) will play the group runners-up in the round of 16, with the group winners hosting the second leg of those ties:
Following a dramatic late-evening twist on Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain may be paired with Chelsea, Manchester City, or Tottenham in the Champions League last-16 draw.
PSG appeared to be on track to take first place in Group H, but the French champions were forced to settle for second place after Benfica defeated Maccabi Haifa 6-1 on the road.
Liverpool, Inter, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund are additional unseeded groups for the last-16 draw.
Real Madrid, who finished first in Group F, has joined teams like Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Porto in the seeded pot for the draw.
On November 7 at 11 a.m., the Champions League round of 16 draw will take place.
Since teams from the same country cannot be paired together in the draw, all Premier League clubs will avoid one another in the round of 16.
