Marcus Rashford’s current value if he signs a new deal with Man Utd analyzed by Mark Goldbridge.
Following Marcus Rashford’s stellar recent form, Mark Goldbridge has offered his opinion on the United star’s potential transfer value.
The contract for Rashford expires in the summer of 2024. United, however, is anxious for the English international to pledge his long-term loyalty to the team.
Rashford’s future has become a more serious concern for United as a result of persistent transfer rumors. Rashford has ties to Paris Saint-Germain as well, the league’s defending champions.
A supporter questioned Goldbridge about what Rashford might fetch in the current market.
However, the United fan presenter thinks that if they sold Rashford in the summer, he could still bring in a sizable transfer fee of no more than £100 million.
Goldbridge asserted that if the England star agreed to a new five-year contract, his transfer value would soar. Rashford would be “north” of £150 million.
He said, “Well, he’s only got one year left on his contract, so I wouldn’t go anywhere, anything over £100m.”
“I believe you should estimate that his value increases to about £150 [million] if he signs a five-year contract.
“But reading the modern markets is so difficult. What is Kylian Mbappe worth today? I am unsure.”
Erik Ten Hag
When asked about contract negotiations between United and Rashford, Ten Hag responded, “The last [question] I can’t answer: It is confidential about talks between clubs and players.”
“I believe he is aware that Man United is his team, first and foremost, as well as in this setting. He’s currently playing his best football, in my opinion.
“He is improving, which is good for him because he is focusing on the positives. He has a solid strategy and is putting everything he has into it. I believe he can contribute his skills to this group as well.”
“Therefore, this team can assist him in getting into the right position and scoring goals, which he is good at. I believe he is aware of how this team is set up to highlight his strengths.”
“But unquestionably, he is crucial to our success, and we depend on him.”
