Manchester United Issues Statement Following Shocking Cristiano Ronaldo Interview

After all the facts are known following Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive interview, Manchester United says they will think about their response.

Ronaldo stated in an extraordinary interview with Piers Morgan that he felt “betrayed” by the team, does not respect manager Erik ten Hag, and is being ejected from Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who is regarded as one of the greatest players in history, promised in August that he would provide his version of events after failing to secure a transfer away from Manchester United in the previous summer.

The first snippets of his interview with TalkTV host Morgan were broadcast on Sunday night, and the complete interview will air over two nights on Wednesday and Thursday.

The club took note of the media attention surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview, according to a statement from Manchester United.

When all the facts are known, the club will decide how to respond.

We are still concentrating on getting ready for the second half of the season and maintaining the spirit of camaraderie and unity that is growing among the players, manager, staff, and supporters.

Before moving on to Real Madrid to become one of the all-time greats, Ronaldo made a name for himself as one of the best players in the world during his first stint at Manchester United.

The Portuguese legend made an exciting return to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, and he made a big impression by scoring 24 goals in 38 games across all competitions.

He has made fewer appearances under new United manager Ten Hag, starting just four Premier League games this year.

When asked if he thought Manchester United’s management was attempting to get rid of him, Ronaldo replied that he did. Not only the coach, but also another two or three people close to the team, and he felt betrayed.

The truth is something that people should pay attention to. Yes, he felt betrayed and as though some people, not just this year but also last year, didn’t want him to be there.

Manchester United had a rough start to the 2022–23 season, but under Ten Hag, they quickly turned things around and moved up to fifth in the Premier League before the World Cup midseason break.

The Dutchman, Ten Hag, thrived at Ajax before moving to Old Trafford last summer, but Ronaldo claims he ‘does not respect’ the player.
