Kalidou Koulibaly Sends Message To Graham Potter After Being Dropped From The Line-Up

The former captain of Napoli joined the Blues in the summer and was hailed as Antonio Rudiger’s ideal successor.

Although Koulibaly, 31, has found transitioning to the Premier League to be everything but simple, Thomas Tuchel was thrilled to have signed a defender of his experience.

Koulibaly, who was benched for Potter’s inaugural game in charge against RB Salzburg earlier this month, has had his plans further complicated by the demise of the German and the latest firing.

Potter decided to start club captain Cesar Azpilicueta in an unusual central defensive position and left-back Marc Cucurella, whom he had coached at Brighton.

Kalidou Koulibaly insists he will be patient to convince Graham Potter, the next Chelsea manager, of his value.

Koulibaly asserts that he comprehends Potter’s choice and is pleased with the early achievements of Tuchel’s replacement.

Koulibaly told Le Quotidien that the new coach was a real coach who had some nice ideas. He accomplished some wonderful things with Brighton as well, and he is currently Chelsea’s manager.

Koulibaly believes that Graham Potter has rules and expectations, and it is up to him to be patient and demonstrate his worthiness to play by demonstrating in practice that the coach can put his trust in him.

There will be no issue compared to this. Since we are still in the early going, the coach will likely rely on players who are accustomed to sporting the Chelsea crest and have been with the club for a very long period.

Despite a less than stellar start to his English career, Koulibaly believes he has no regrets about joining Chelsea and that the decision to sign with them was an easy one once he learned of their interest.

Additionally, Koulibaly stated that joining Chelsea was a positive move for him and that he is thrilled to be there. Furthermore, he had to relocate to London for eight years, so at first, it was difficult. It’s a challenging task.
