Graham Potter Wants To Swap Romelu Lukaku For The 188-Goal Striker

Rumor has it that Chelsea wants to use Romelu Lukaku permanently in order to try and entice Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur during the 2023 winter transfer window.

For the previous eight Premier League seasons, Kane has been a player to be respected. Harry still has two years left on his present deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With an incredible 188 goals in 288 games, he is third all-time in league scoring.

The attacking player, who is 29 years old, is off to a strong start in 2022–2023 and is a total forward in every sense. For Antonio Conte’s team, he has already scored five goals in eight games played in all competitions.

On the other side, Lukaku is now on loan at Inter Milan. The Blues spent a club record £97.5 million to bring him in last summer, but he didn’t live up to the hype, scoring just 15 goals in all competitions. He has three Serie A appearances this season and one goal.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Graham Potter, the new manager of Chelsea, reportedly wants to sign Kane in exchange for Lukaku. It’s possible that the trade, which will reunite the Belgian with his former manager Conte at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, may also involve cash.

Lukaku is eager to join his former squad, though, according to trade expert Fabrizio Romano. The Nerazzurri are interested in retaining the attacker on staff for an additional season, the Italian journalist claimed on his YouTube channel.

Romano stated that he believes they will have the opportunity to keep him for at least one more season on loan and for the next campaign, but everything must be arranged with Chelsea.

Roman said that since the issue was already resolved when the one-year loan contract was created, it will be interesting to watch whether Potter decides to change the circumstances.

The important thing to remember is that Lukaku only cares about Inter right now, so Inter is thrilled to have him and sure they can keep him for the long haul.
