The opening matchday of the Europa League will be on September 8, and the group stage will end on November 6 due to the World Cup’s compressed schedule.
As Arsenal learn their opponents in Europe this season, Erik ten Hag and Manchester United’s quest for Europa League supremacy will get underway in a group that also includes Real Sociedad.
In the Europa League group stage, Real Sociedad, Sheriff Tiraspol, and Cypriot team Omonoia will all be opponents for Manchester United as they attempt to end their long trophy drought.
Following their victory in 2017 under Jose Mourinho, Europe’s secondary competition continues to be their only trophy. Erik ten Hag, who is currently in command, will have to lead his team in Spain and Moldova.
The only other team from England participating is Arsenal, who narrowly missed making the top four the previous season. They have been placed in a group with PSV Eindhoven and Bodo/Glimt.

In Group C, Jose Mourinho’s Roma team will compete against HJK Helsinki of Finland, PFC Ludogorets of Belgium, and Real Betis of Spain.
One of the top teams currently competing is Jose Mourinho’s Roma team. In 2003, the Special One won it while it was still known as the UEFA Cup, The Special One won it again with United in 2017. The Copa del Rey champion Real Betis will play the Italian team.
Red Star Belgrade and Monaco were placed in the same group, and both teams will be confident of success in this year’s competition. The third-place finishers in each Champions League group will also be welcomed to the competition when the knockout rounds begin.
