Manager Jurgen Klopp is not likely to be fired any time soon, at least not at the moment. However, the board is in support of the famous German. One has to question how long the situation can last, though, if he doesn’t see results soon.
Some have suggested that Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino could succeed Klopp in the future. But in this article, sportshebron examines four additional out-there candidates Liverpool may want to consider.
Alonso
Alonso, a former midfielder, played at Anfield for five productive seasons in which he assisted his team in winning the FA Cup and the Champions League. He has since retired and is now pursuing a coaching career.
He started at Real Sociedad B and is currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, where he is making an impact.
Alonso came in October at Bundesliga, but if a chance, the 41-year-old might find it difficult to pass up to return to Merseyside. The supporters of Liverpool would enthusiastically support the former Spain international, who appears to be a promising prospect.
Ange Postecoglou
The well-liked Australian coach has received a lot of praise for the Celtic’s development under his leadership. Postecoglou is undoubtedly well-traveled, having worked in Greece, Japan, Australia, and other places.
