With his days at Real Madrid numbered, former Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard may make a shocking comeback to the Premier League.
In a deal worth over £100 million, Hazard finally achieved his dream of joining the Galacticos when he left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2019.
With injury and fitness problems, the Belgian international’s time in Spain has been a complete disaster. When he has played, he has been a shell of the player he once was.
He has only contributed to 18 goals in his first 72 games for Los Blancos, as opposed to the 202 goals and 202 assists he accrued in 352 games for the Blues.
Hazard vowed to recover before the current season and has maintained his fitness thanks to Carlo Ancelotti’s willingness to give the player another chance to prove his value.
But for some reason, it hasn’t worked out; the 31-year-old has started just two games across all competitions, and Real seems to have moved on to a younger generation of forward stars like Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.
As a result, El Nacional via MailOnline has reported that Real is prepared to cut its losses and get rid of Hazard as soon as possible.
The Champions League champions are open to both long-term and short-term offers for Hazard, but any loan agreement would need to include a buy-out clause of about £17 million.

Hazard, who was regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League and the world while playing for Chelsea, appears to be content for Real to suffer a significant loss.
Due to his reputation, teams are reportedly interested in signing him, with Newcastle and Aston Villa being the most likely candidates.
Hazard’s reported salary of £400,000 per week can of course be covered by the Magpies, but the owners of the Villans are serious about competing in Europe and are ready to provide new players to support Unai Emery as the new manager.
Hazard’s current Real contract expires in 2024, but before any transfer negotiations can be completed, he will travel to Qatar for the World Cup with Belgium.
