Erik ten Hag’s comments about Arsenal left fans confused.
Erik ten Hag has confused some supporters with his remarks regarding his team’s loss to Arsenal on Sunday.
Leaders After a dramatic 3-2 victory over United, Eddie Nketiah’s late goal kept Arsenal in the hunt for Premier League supremacy.
Mikel Arteta’s team was in control for the majority of the game thanks to dominating possession and 25 shots on goal compared to United’s six.
The Red Devils’ manager, however, feels that his team did not permit many clear shots from Arsenal. United only allowed long-range shots from the Gunners.
“Overall, we defended very well, including at Arsenal, I don’t think they had clean shots,” said Ten Hag.
“There was only one occasion, and I believe it came from a free kick; all other shots were long-range.” Between the ball and the goal, there were many of our defenders.
“We were able to avoid every sing goal,” I said
These remarks have confused Arsenal supporters, which is perhaps not surprising.
“Eddie Nketiah’s goals came inside the 6-yard box,” one person claimed.

“2 goals from the same place in the 6-yard box. 3 goals were scored, 20 shots in the box. Saka had more touches in the box than yanited as a ‘team,'” read another tweet.
Erik, you can’t lie your way out of this, the third supporter added. “We all saw it, Erik.”Another person commented, “Think he might have been watching a different game.”
Ten Hag added that his goal is to elevate United to the top of the footballing world.
“I would say that this is the best place [for him] to be because we want to build the best team,” he said.
“First in England, then in Europe, and finally in the world.”
On Wednesday night, United will face Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semifinal.
