Drogba selects the Chelsea squad he most enjoyed playing with and relates with the current team.
Last year, Didier Drogba made controversial remarks when he said he ‘didn’t recognize’ the Chelsea team he was watching. However, he is confident everything will change this season with new leadership and a new team.
Chelsea has once again spent a lot of money. A man like Drogba up top, according to many, is all they need to return to their former glory as Chelsea.
Although his remarks from the previous year went viral, few could disagree with what he was expressing. However, the Blues had the highest expenditures of any team in the league, but they were among the last in the ranking.
The team’s talent and spirit
“We maintained a team for many years. We didn’t witness that previous season because of the team’s talent and the spirit we established, according to Drogba, speaking to SPORTbible. “I claimed I didn’t recognize the team because of this. There’s nothing wrong with that—I may have been the first one to say it—it’s just a message to say that’s not what I want to see.”
Chelsea will be anticipating competing for a return to Champions League football with significant summer arrivals like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, plus the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino. Former striker Drogba is confident they have what it takes.
“I think for him (Pochettino), it’s a new challenge, and for the club, it’s a new season,” Drogba continued. “We anticipate that this year’s outcomes will be better than the previous year. They may be able to climb back to the top after a difficult season.”
Drogba gave a speech during the launch of the newest EA Sports FC 24 game. On September 29, the game will go on sale. In the game’s Ultimate Team mode, Drogba is a legendary player and appears on the cover. He views this accomplishment as a tremendous honor.
Legends
“I’m so proud, happy to be there with all these legends,” he said. “Being there with Ronaldinho, Zidane, and the younger generation shows that you’ve accomplished something during your career. It demonstrates our closeness as a family.”

He said, “I meet a lot of kids that are 5/6/10 years old that know me. It’s funny. “I’m like, ‘Listen, you’ve never seen me play, it must be your parents or something,’ and they’re like, ‘No, no, no, I play with you, I score goals with you.'” There is a place for your name, and you can gain new fans.”
Drogba had a successful playing career. Four Premier League championships, a Champions League crown, and two African Player of the Year honors were all earned by Drogba. The Ivorian is best known for his stint at Chelsea. He won the majority of his awards. In addition, the striker played for the club for nine years during two periods, scoring over 100 goals for the London team.
Chelsea squad 2009/2010
Which team did he like being a part of the most, then? “I believe…I would probably say 2010.” Because, in my opinion, Carlo Ancelotti and Chelsea played some of the most attractive football in Europe,” he responded. We had a good team that won the league, so I enjoyed that season the most.”
In 32 league games, Drogba scored 29 goals, winning both the Premier League and FA Cup in addition to the Golden Boot. It wasn’t at all a bad season.
It’s interesting to note that during the 2009–10 season, Drogba had a stellar rating on the EA version of the game. The rating is 87, and the finishing attribute has a ridiculous score of 94. It’s safe to say that Drogba would be a popular selection if that version of him appeared in the upcoming game.
Sam Kerr
Sam Kerr, a striker for Chelsea and the Australia Women’s team, is also featured on the cover alongside Didier Drogba. A person with whom he shares stylistic similarities.
“A few England players are present. But Sam Kerr, who I refer to as my striker, is fantastic and scores from angles, so I like her,” he said. “I see a little bit of myself in her,” the coach said of the player’s inventive goal-scoring style.”
