Chelsea Star’s Agent Provides An Update On The Midfielder’s Future Despite Barcelona Links Rumors

Since Barcelona is interested in Jorginho and his current contract is set to expire in the summer, his agent has updated the public on the midfielder’s future at Chelsea.

The La Liga powerhouses, who have a history of bringing in free agents recently, have been linked to a move for the 30-year-old Italian international midfielder.

Jorginho is reportedly keen to stay at Chelsea but has rejected a new contract because he wants a 25% raise from his current salary, which is reportedly worth £ 110,000 per week.

Jorginho, who cost £51 million to bring from Napoli, has excelled since joining Chelsea in 2018. In 205 appearances, he has won the Champions League, Europa League, and Club World Cup.

Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, has since stated that the player only wants to stay at Chelsea longer and is not interested in moving to Barcelona.

Santos stated that he has never met Mateu Alemany, the director of Barcelona, regarding a potential move for Jorginho.

The extension of our contract with Chelsea is a top priority for us. The Blues are the only team we are dealing with.

Despite the rumors regarding his future, Jorginho has stated that he is still very happy at Chelsea.

We’re all very focused on what we need to do, Jorginho recently told The 5th Stand, and he is very happy right now.

He likes working with everyone and living here, and he believes that everyone else feels the same way. A pleasure to be at Chelsea.

This season, Jorginho has continued to play a crucial role for the Blues, appearing in all but one game.

He is now the club’s vice-captain after he helped the team by scoring three goals, all of which came from the penalty spot.

Chelsea is currently in sixth place in the Premier League and has already advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals.
