Callum Hudson-Odoi Discloses Message From Todd Boehly After Chelsea Exit

Callum Hudson-Odoi has disclosed that Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, has offered him assurances on his long-term future at the club.

During Thomas Tuchel’s 20-month tenure at Stamford Bridge, the 21-year-old struggled to gain a regular position and was eager to depart to receive more playing time.

In the last hours of the summer transfer window, Hudson-Odoi joined Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan, despite Chelsea’s refusal to add a buy option.

And the winger asserts that Boehly would like to have him return to Chelsea in the upcoming summer.

Hudson-Odoi told MailOnline that the new Chelsea administration is unquestionably different.

A team always seeks the option to purchase a player after the season when seeking to sign them [on loan]. We need you back here, Todd was saying.

You’re still on the club’s radar as a potential member. He is attempting to build his team around a large number of young players for the upcoming years.

It implies that he wants to help the players become a part of the squad and grow.

Hudson-Odoi acknowledged his frustration with Tuchel’s lack of opportunities, and he feels that his inability to consistently start games hurt his potential to make an impression.

It was one of those trying times, according to Hudson-Odoi, when you look in the mirror and wonder what you’re doing wrong. Has anything I’ve done to deserve to be left out of the squad?

I would never say anything unfavorable about Thomas; he was a decent man and a competent manager. But the season’s opening game was frustrating. Football players who aren’t selected for the team will realize how irritating it is.

The more games you play, the more consistent you become, and the more form starts to take hold, which is what regular football provides you.

Why am I not playing? is not a thought you want to have when sitting on the sidelines. When that happens, the legs start to rust after weeks.

You don’t want to be sitting on the sidelines wondering why you aren’t playing. Your legs are rusty when you play again after a protracted period of idleness. In football, consistency is really important. I feel better since I’m receiving it here.
