Bukayo Saka signs a new five-year deal with Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Bukayo Saka has now formally signed his long-term contract to stay at the club. This comes few months after verbally agreeing to a new contract with Arsenal.
Romano continues by saying that the deal will likely be officially announced very soon.
According to The Arsenal Informer, Saka, and Ian Wright both attended the Emirates Stadium on Monday to film a special media shoot. It appeared to be about the winger’s new contract.
Some promotional video for the contract had already been shot, according to other sources. The Arsenal Informer once more asserts that an announcement is now just around the corner.
Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail claims that Saka and Arsenal verbally agreed to extend their contract earlier this year.
When bonuses and other payments are taken into account, the new contract will result in him making nearly £15 million a season.
According to the same source, the contract will be worth at least £10 million annually. This translates to a weekly salary of between £192 and £288 million.
At the time, Fabrizio Romano added that the five-year agreement would keep the winger in place through 2028.
Saka has consistently appeared on all current Premier League Teams of the Year. He was one of Arsenal’s Players of the Season in 2022–23.
According to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, Saka and Arsenal had a verbal contract renewal agreement earlier this year.
The 21-year-old has 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. So you might assume that his Arsenal career is just getting started.
The next step after agreeing to a new contract will be his first season playing in the Champions League.
