Arsenal star ruled out of the match against Man City as Arteta raises injury worries.
Before their FA Cup fourth-round match against Manchester City on Friday, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal has suffered an injury blow.
Arsenal is aiming to win the FA Cup for the second time in three years. Previously, Arsenal won the competition in Arteta’s first season in charge by defeating Chelsea at Wembley.
In the third round, they defeated Oxford United, winning 3-0 thanks to two goals from Eddie Nketiah and a goal from Mohamed Elneny. In addition, Fabio Vieira contributed two assists.
Meanwhile, City defeated Chelsea 4-0 with a commanding performance. In addition to Julian Alvarez, who was back from injury, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez also scored.
Arteta provided an update on the availability within his squad in his pregame speech. One player who had a significant role against Oxford will not play against Pep Guardiola’s team, Arteta confirmed.

Elneny will probably sit out the match against City, the Spaniard has confirmed. However, he revealed that the club is worried about the severity of the injury.
Before the 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the north London derby on January 15, the midfielder hurt his knee while practicing.
He stated: “I don’t think he will be [available],” according to the club’s official website. He had some knee problems that we are currently evaluating, and I’ll have to watch him to see how he changes over the next few days.”
“Given that Mo never complains about anything, there are some concerns about a potential long-term injury, but we’ll see.”
Additionally, Arteta has acknowledged his desire to bring in a midfielder in January. According to the Italian publication La Repubblica, Arsenal has made a bid of €30 million for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
Two more midfielders with ties to the team are; Everton’s Amadou Onana and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. Brighton, however, reportedly wants to charge a fee of £100 million to allow the former to leave this month.
