Arsenal could consider signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
Renato Sanches has long drawn admiring winks from across Europe, with Serie A heavyweights Juventus and AC Milan both considering summer raids on Lille for the talented midfielder.
After winning the 2016 European Championship, the prestigious Golden Boy award, and a high-profile move to Bayern Munich, the Portugal international suffered a humiliating fall from grace.
Juventus has made signing another midfielder a top priority for the summer transfer window.
Allegri is said to be a fan of Sanches and has given the go-ahead for Turin club officials to hold talks with Lille.
Those discussions are expected to take place near the end of March when the question of how much it will cost to entice a Portuguese playmaker away from his current surroundings will be raised.
However, Juve will face competition from domestic rivals for Sanches’ signature.
AC Milan has long been interested in the former Bayern Munich player and sees him as a possible successor to Franck Kessie.

Arsenal, Barcelona, and Liverpool have all been linked with Sanches in the past, and Premier League side Newcastle now has the financial resources to compete in any transfer scramble.
Arsenal is interested in bringing in a new central midfielder before the end of the month transfer deadline. Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, on the other hand, maybe an alternative for Arsenal.
The Portuguese had previously struggled in England during a loan spell at Swansea in 2017-18, but he has matured significantly since then and is back in the Champions League with Lille.
He is eager to realize his undeniable potential and has left the door open for interested parties to make a move.
Lille has also declared that if a big club makes an approach, Sanches will be allowed to leave the club.
