The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr has not yet had the positive impact on the team that was anticipated, according to one of the forward’s new teammates.

Despite scoring twice in a friendly against PSG, things haven’t exactly turned out the way the five-time Ballon d’Or winner might have anticipated.

In addition, he has only scored once in three games for Al Nassr, converting a late penalty in a 2-2 draw with Al Fateh.

That came after matches against Ettifaq and Al Ittihad, the first in the league and the second in the cup, in which he failed to score or provide an assist.

The 38-year-old had missed two clear-cut opportunities before his penalty in the third game. the kinds of opportunities you’d have anticipated him to consistently bury.

However, the forward’s new teammate Luis Gustavo doesn’t think his issues are entirely his fault. He thinks that the mere presence of Ronaldo improves the performance of all their rivals.

“There’s no doubt that Cristiano’s presence makes things difficult for us. He inspires everyone, and all teams strive to compete against him in the best manner possible. Gustavo spoke with RT Arabic.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder does, however, think that having Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer on the team is good for both the players and the team.

“We gain a lot from him daily at Al-Nassr, so his presence there is beneficial to the group. Due to his exceptional technical and physical abilities,” Gustavo continued.

“The purpose of Cristiano Ronaldo is to overcome challenges, and he does so every time. We are all eagerly awaiting his presentation.

“He has already scored his first goal, so the pressure is off of him.”

Rudi Garcia, the manager of Al Nassr, has already cast doubt on the five-time Champions League champion’s future in the Middle East.

Furthermore, Garcia believes that Ronaldo’s future and career will end in Europe. Despite the fact that after he left United, clubs weren’t particularly interested in him.
